Job Title: Programs Coordinator at GODIDO
ABOUT GODIDO
The Goaso Diocesan Development Organization (GODIDO) is a registered company Limited by
Guarantee (LBG) by the Catholic Diocese of Goaso and licensed by the National NPO Secretariat. The
vision of GODIDO is “To work for and support the Catholic Diocese of Goaso to help the poor, the needy,
and the vulnerable people through socio-economic empowerment in line with the social teachings of
the Catholic Church”. The priority sectors are education, health, governance, justice and Peace, and
Social Development (women, children, migrants, youth etc.).
JOB DESCRIPTION
To lead fundraising efforts, manage, coordinate, and monitor project activities and relationships with
partners and other project stakeholders to assist the achievement of the GODIDO’s objectives and
advancing its work serving the poor and vulnerable. Your project management skills and knowledge of the
program areas will ensure that GODIDO delivers high-quality programs and continuously works towards
improving the impact of its intervention.
DUTIES, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of all programs and projects
undertaken by GODIDO.
2. Lead technical, budget management, monitoring and reporting activities through most of the
project cycle – start-up, implementation and close-out in line with GODIDO program quality
principles and standards, donor requirements, and industry practice.
3. Effectively manage talent and supervise. Manage team dynamics and staff well-being. Provide
coaching, strategically tailor individual development plans, contribute to the recruitment
process of project staff, and complete performance management for direct reports.
4. Supervise and receive reports from all the program and project officers.
5. Generate regular reports on programs and projects and submit to the Executive Director.
6. Coordinate the preparation of draft annual report for GODIDO.
7. Develop proposals and concept notes for submission to donors.
8. Regularly monitor and evaluate all programs and projects.
9. Ensure that all grant conditionalities of each program or project are adhered to.
10. Prepare and submit such reports as may be requested by the Executive Director.
11. Liaise with the Finance Officer in the preparation of program and project budgets and financial
reports.
12. Participate in field-level review meetings, visit field project sites, provide hands-on support to
project implementation teams as needed.
13. Contribute to the development of the overall strategic direction in Business Development of the
Organization.
14. Regularly review project evaluations, lessons learnt, project and other internal reports and from
other NGOs and donors and apply innovations and best practices in future proposals.
15. Develop, manage and update a database/records of contacts of relevant donor/partner information.
16. Develop donor profiles, monitor donor priorities, inform solicitation strategies and maintain
effective donor relations to ensure continued funding and sustainability.
17. Coordinate proposal development processes to ensure timely submission of the high-quality
proposals that are responsive to donor requirements, application regulations and technical
compliance.
18. Support in the development of project partnership agreements, proposals, presentations, briefing
notes and representation of the organization in donor meetings, workshops and other relevant
engagement.
19. Support knowledge management and learning efforts through the creation and updating of GODIDO
databases with relevant donor resources, strategic documents, training and learning materials /
resources; evaluating strategic projects and capturing and sharing lessons learnt.
20. Contribute to the development, production, and dissemination of reports / newsletters of the
organization and liaise with other Offices to publicize relevant highlights on programmers,
operations and resource mobilizations activities and impact.
21. Any other professional duties that may be assigned by the Executive Director.
QUALIFICATION:
• The prospective candidate must hold a minimum of a First Degree in Social Science from a
recognized University. Degree or knowledge in Development Studies, International Relations
or related fields are also critical for the job function. Candidates with Master’s Degree in
Social Science or in the other areas will be an added advantage.
• Excellent reporting and analytical skills
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in project management, ideally in GODIDO’s priority
sectors.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
• Ability to work in a versatile team.
• Previous experience providing technical assistance to a successful project proposal and
developing successful proposals for external donor funding is required.
• Familiarity with relevant institutional donor policies, regulations, procedures and priorities
• Experience and skills in networking (building relations), with donor, peer organizations and faith-
based and civil society partners.

• Excellent relationships management skills with the ability to influence and get buy-in from people
not under direct supervision and to work with individuals in diverse geographical and cultural
settings
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Strong presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring and coaching skills.
• Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills with ability to make sound judgment.
• Strong relationship management skills and the ability to work effectively with local stakeholders.
Representation abilities.
• Ability to contribute written reports.
• Proactive, results-oriented, and service-oriented.
• Attention to details, accuracy and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities.

INTRODUCTION
Today the Catholic Diocese of Goaso, which covers the Ahafo region and the Ahafo part of the Ashanti Region, celebrates another milestone since the creation of the Diocese in 1998. We gather to inaugurate the long awaited Goaso Diocesan Development Organization (GODIDO LBG) and also to launch the organization’s five-year strategic plan. I stand before you with heart full of gratitude to God for assisting us with the vision to establish this organization which in one way or the other would help us improve upon our lives in the area. I extend my gratitude to all those who have contributed to the establishment of the organization.
MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION
The mission of this organization is “Holistic Development through Socio-economic Empowerment". This mission of Holistic Development has to do with the readiness to leave no one behind as far as development in the catchment area of the Diocese is concern. This means that it is the mission of the organization to address the physical, social, economic, and emotional needs of people.

On behalf of the Bishop, Most Rev. Peter Kwaku Atuahene, Catholic Bishop of Goaso, I welcome all and sundry to the inauguration of Goaso Diocesan Development Organization (GODIDO) and the launching of its five-year strategic plan. Although a very simple ceremony but very significant since it marks the day the organization is receiving the power to begin its work in full swing, like the apostles of Jesus on the day of Pentecost. We are most grateful to all of you for honouring the invitation to this programme in spite of your tight schedule. You made it all because of your love to see the rapid development of Ahafo.
